A seductive book!

So here I break my hibernation with a book review after a long time!

I don't have any flair for non-fiction until recently...And today I am totally fed with non-fiction. My teamy and I were discussing about current bestsellers/other popular books and she was asking for "Wings of fire"...I shrugged myself and said sorry I don't have the book...I saw the same book the same weekend in my cousin's place and grabbed the book...

I knew Dr.Abul Kalam as a former president ,a scientist and a fellow tamilian..Nothing more or nothing less than that ..But flipping through the book I was totally flabbergasted for the way HE is...

A boy born in Rameshvaram to a very mediocre middle class family, who worked to earn his penny to pay his fees, who always never foresaw any community based/biased opinion finally turned into a great scientist as well as our president...All because of sheer hard work and perseverance nothing else...

Failures:

When I face any failure, I always read "Lincon's life story" and within a moment I tell myself that the struggles which I face is nothing when compared to what Lincon faced. Now Kalam is added to my list...He was the one who lost his air force career by a whisker, He was the one who lead the team when the great missile AGNI failed for the first time(but it became a huge success the very next attempt)...and the list can go on and on...The lesson to be taken from their life is, make every failure as your stepping stone for success!

Passion and dedication towards work:

Kalam is one person who dedicated his whole life for India's rocketry field...At some places I felt odd for not pursuing my career in aeronautical engineering but as Kalam rightly points "Never fret for the lost one, always show your passion to the one which you get"...His service to the field of rocketry is something which could not be listed through words!

Goals:

Well goals and I stand far beyond..Kalam always believes in framing a long term goal…The gist is like this “Setting goal makes you to move ahead, realize where you are”…

He is a lively example for attaining his goals and dreams.

Super cool ruler:

Through his words, I understood how much he believes in almighty...To be honest I am glad to see a scientist uttering the name of god for every now and then, for some scientist don’t believe in the existence of god(Science and god which always remains to be something debatable )...

At the end all I could say about Kalam is "Sir you are indeed a great person, a beacon for the younger generations !You have dedicated your entire life for India and space research" .. I am totally running out of words...

“Everyone of us have the fire in us to achieve something great, all we need is a wing to make the fire fly and soar high!”

PS:Grab the book to have a glance about the story of a great person...thatz all I can say!At some places you may never understand the scientific jargon..But Amen ,try to read about the story of someone who sacrificed his life for all of us!Scientific nuances may make you confused but I am sure it will kindle you the life to realize who you are!

Slumdog Millionaire-My review

A film that bagged 4 awards.A hollywood film totally based out of india especially mumbai. All the cast who acted are Indians.A film not only made an indian to win the scholarly GOLDENGLOBE award but also made the entire nation proud...Should i have to give any other clues about this film....I am talking about the film "Slumdog Millionaire" which is based out of the book "Q and A" by Vikas Swaroop...

This film directed by Danny Boyle and co-directed by Loveleen Tandon is one of the film which we hear/read in the form of reviews in newspapers, magazines etc....To add one more feather to its beauty our own prodigy ARR is the music director, who bagged the Golden globe award for his fantabulous music.

The main leads of this movie are Jamal(Dev patel),Saleem(Mathur Mittal) and Lathika(Freida Pinto)...Jamal participates in the show"Who wants to be a millionaire"Jamal a slumdog who answers all the questions and reaches the last question to bag 20 million rupees..Anil kapoor is the host and he is completely astonished to see a slumdog answering the questions...

Jamal is arrested by the police Irfan Khan fearing that he had cheated to win the contest...The flashback starts from here..Jamal explains how each question have relevance with his life..Also he misses his brother Saleem and his lovely sweetheart Lathika..Did he meet his brother and Lathika.Did he win the contest,to find the answers for all these questions you have to watch the movie....

The communal attack, the life of people @slums are beautifully protrayed in the movie And finally the song "JAI HO" is a fantastic number i would say..I hear this song umpteen times but never feel bored ,I guess that is the magic of ARR.

I saw this movie and i liked it..I have seen these kind of movies,i mean about INDIA and about its people in many movies but this movie has its own unique feature..I will not say this is the best movie of ARR because i think some of his other movies attracted me a lot,but definitely a good movie to watch..Lets hope Rahman will bag the prestigious Oscar for his masterpiece .On the whole a nice watch...Give a try and watch the movie...

Sweet one....

If you ask me what is your favourite movie.Undoubtedly without any confusion ,the first movie that comes to my mind among plethora of others is "Taare zameen par"...What a fantastic movie it is!...

After hearing a lot about the movie,I felt that, I should watch it and was waiting for my change ...One fine day got an opportunity to watch it...The thing that attracted me the most is the caption"EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL".

The crux of this movie is ,every child is special and have their own unique potential. The message I took after watching this movie is ,it may be your child or brother or sister or anyone younger than you.Dont bully them when they fail to top it.Instead try to understand their potential and work with them to understand what is pulling them.Have a good rapport ,be a good friend and understand their potential and their weakness.Affection and love are two strong medicine which can solve any type of problem...It's,We the elders, to mould the child and should their potential to the world.

Coming to the movie.Ishant is not a normal child and who struggles to manage his studies.Aamir khan is the mentor and who brings all the potent from this child to the world ,when everyone isolated this child .How he educates the child and brings out his potential, you have to watch the movie.

The way Darsheel Safary(Ishant) and Aamir Khan acted is really appreciable. A very nice movie. If you have not watched the movie yet please do watch it.

PS:The first half of the movie made me to become emotional.I could not control my tears from my eyes. PSS:A very very nice movie to watch. The title is very much true. Taare zameen par-EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL
