Au revoir,Bonne chance
With christmas and new year around the corner ,i break my hibernation and come up with a blog of retrospection by looking the rolled days or months of 2009.(Ok I got you right, still we have 21 days for new year, but as usual lemme be an visionary ahem!!!)
Shades of elation:
Little good deeds create’s elation. Fortunate to experience the shades of merriness .Bright rays of sun dawns at every moment to remind the medicine called hope and optimism. Like a flower which blossoms and glistens in golden sun, happiness crossed most of our life to create a boost called HOPE.
Shades of emotions:
However good one are at emotional quotient, still there exists scenario's for emotional outburst. I always prefer to be a loose sand rather to be a hard stone .I feel to let my emotions out at proper situations to express my views and concerns. There were times which made me to break but at the same time which made to bounce back with the sanguine approach.
Two major shades (Emotion and Elation) which makes our life to move further and take up challenges.
A turn back:
1.Little did i know about the effects of optimism and positive approach.2009 taught me the results of being positive. I vouch for every hard situation you face there exists a sweet result. The crown of success will embellish your head for sure.
2. Take life as it comes: A powerful and prowess liner which i learnt.
3.I learnt\learn a lot from every one of you around me. I thank god for meeting some real nice people who act as a mentor ,a friend ,a person who motivates me. All i can say is "It is you people who made to witness a drastic change in me and to cuddle every situation as it comes. Kudos to you all guys”.
4.The great P(Patience):No i am not a queen of patience rather i can rate myself at the extreme other end. But still i love to be cool and calm at the most demanding situations. I am still a novice in the path of attaining patience.
5 .Mind your words: Words are so powerful they can create a relationship at the same time they can break one. I realize the value of words and i try to use proper word at right time.
6.Last but not the least. I learnt the art of smiling even at the worst scenario and feel contended with whatever i have.
I thank you all people, who made my life brighter ,who heard my nitwits and dunce words, Who cuddled me when i cried(hugs!!!) ,who motivated me to take challenges .May you all have a great life ahead .My whole hearted wishes are there for every one of you. Let the year 2010 brings loads and loads ,tonnes and tonnes of good luck and may you get the beststest of best things in this world.
“Let's forget and forgive”

A letter to my mom
Dearest Amma,
It happened so fast and I reached my heavenly abode safe, still my memories never fade and there I go with a letter to you.
I am dead sure …You people are missing me a big time. The predominant pester at home is missing. Who will pester you the same way I did? No doubt I alone can hold the place. How much I scared for pitch hard and hold you tight while sleeping…now the place next to you would be void……..I never hid ya anything and always pestered you to the core. Amma remember you were the one to pamper me a lot from choosing a dress to selecting the bestest of best things …
The sulk , the mulishness which I showed to ya will never fade ma…You were the one to accept all my tantrums and still hug and smile at me…You were the one who shouldered me when I cried..You were the one who felt elated when I shared a gleeful news…You were the one to whom I shared everything.. you were the one to advise…You were the one who boosted…I can go no and no..but alas I will miss every thing…
How much I hated to wear bangles…Ma ya know my hatred towards bangles..But you accepted me and never ever compelled…You were the one who openly pointed my mistakes and appreciated my good work…Ahhh I will miss your sumptuous food…The fight with bro and my adamancy which I showed to appa….To whom will I speak non-stop which I did only to ya??To whom will I speak about cricket and ganguly ??To whom will I share when other’s hurt me??To whom will I show my remorse feelings??To whom will I cry, when I feel so??....To whom will I throw my barbs, when I feel tensed????I feel topsy turvy and I will miss ya all to the core
Ask brother to allocate a share of chocolates and ice creams for me whenever he tries it…My craziness towards desserts and ice creams will never end though I am dead…..I will not be able to taste it but will feel elated for the deed…..I am feeling sleepy though I am dead..Still I am proud to be a sleepomaniac…..Glad that I met my life(paati) here….fought with her for leaving us so early to reach the heavenly adobe…Now am her sole companion…Amma my eyes are starving for sleep…Will buzz ya now and then ..Take care ma…
Only Yours,
Gowra

Stilettos aur confidence
KKR: Whatz ur height
ME: 5....
KKR: ehh???You are short then..
ME: Think so...A dwarf you say!!!(Wondering y people are bothered about height, height me khya hai..bhol.??!!)
KKR: You don't have to worry...You have heels na?
ME: (Never ever in ma life ,i worried for my height)..heels..haan....
KKR: It's a perfect solution...try na...
ME: (with a smirk)....Sure thing...
Let me not deviate from the topic..Where was i??oh yeah the heels...I am so proud to be a gal(reason you have lotsa varieties when it comes to dress and sandals)..Dress varieties kho chodkar, let us take the varieties of gal's foot wear...Stilettos ,wedges ,flat s, pumps ,party wear ,causal wear god the list will never end...
I always go awestruck when i see someone walking with stilettos or with high heel sandals...It itself is an art i say.
It was during my 11th grade ,my sister got me a high heeled sandal....Firstly i was dumbstruck by the sandal..Secondly i did not have the confidence to walk with that slim, sleek, slender and mainly the high heel sandal .I protested She resisted..I argued She convinced..I said no, she said yes...All fights for sandals…LOL….It was She who took the pains to console me to wear the sandals..All set and done..I agreed ...We planned to go out and She accompanied me...I have a slippery feet ,no wonder about it and to add fire to it, there i was with my high heeled sandals..I felt uncomfortable..For every single step,i slipped...again i slipped and once again i slipped...My sis could not bear the brunt and was kind enough to get me an another flat sandals...Cho chweet she is...and there I was benchmarked to wear flats….flats and only flats…..
So even today i say no to heels...But my dear friends prefer pumps ,wedges blah blah...At one point i asked my friend about it.
Me:Hey do you feel comfortable, when you wear a wedge sort of sandal..
M:Yes,I am very much
ME:Khya hein yar...It's a big trouble for me .
M:Arrey..I feel so comfortable when i wear a wedge or high heeled footwear..It gives me an extra confidence
ME: What confidence from sandals? Don’t play na….
But that was the fact .I hear people saying they feel comfortable when they wear stilettos ,wedges etc.
Alas my mind always creates a deep impression about something and i feel flats suits be better than any thing .But gals i still look with great glee when you people walk perfectly with Stilettos..Gals rock!!!I understand it gives us an extra confidence though have never experienced it….
Whatever the source it may ,if you gain confidence to shatter obstacles ,then rock on…….The source of confidence may come either by wearing stilettos too(M you reading???,i am dead meat then)……

A day to cherish
It was a sunday...No complains about sleep...Yelled at amma for not waking us by 5am(a herculean task though)...Completed our chores and had Dosai filter coffee combo for bfast. Varuna bhagvan was so kind not to shed even a drop of water from the sky.
The first temple we visited was Thiruvanaikovil..Jambhukeshvarar..I still wonder about the water that flows near the God..Also saw goddess akilandeshwari and had nice dharshan.
Samayapuram and srirangam were the two places we planned to visit. Due to time constraint we visited srirangam.Had a great dharsham. Not to forget the prasadam especially Chakara pongal.Give 6 bucks and taste the divine ambrosia err prasadam.
It was around 1pm..we were starving for lunch.Found a hotel and had our share of lunch, juice et al.
The last temple we visited was rock forte.Climbed the stairs to visit god vinayak(Ahem let me hide the fact that I was puffing and panting while climbing the stairs)Not to forget about the great action too!!!It was meena who prayed to offer Coconut to vinayak.Sai took the deed of offering it...He climbed the rock, the rock was slippery and suddenly he slipped..being a veera theera mangai, i climbed the rock to rescue him, but err my slippery feet made me to slip and i rolled only to reach the land.(rock to land great transition indeed!!!)A kind hearted lady did hold,me and helped me...Lol..err let’s forget the great action…and the slippery part ok…With pathetic face i got back to my normal form...That was a great action indeed!!!
Hogged ice creams and juices..Suthified a lot in the roads of trichy….Took too many snaps…..Phew...It was time for us to get back to our home..But the memories will remain green forever. Ahh went to a book shop and skimmed through latest books but managed to get Digital Fortress by my fav writer Dan brown.yay I have never read Digital Fortress. Started…. first 50pages were so gripping….you shall expect a review on it soon..Ciao for now….

Perfect medicine for fever....
My sweet pal is very punctual...When we want to meet by 10am,i would ask her to come by 9.30am,so that atleast she reaches the destination by 10.15am..You got the drift about her punctuality right??(meenu u reading!!!,hope you will not kill me,by this time u should be diligently working :P)...
And finally yesterday she arrived and we went to our favourite Anjaneyar kovil...Had excellent darshan....Sat in the praharam for some 30 minutes..It is a real bliss to sit and hear those devotional music...By the time we went, there was no prasadam :(....chal....
After that We went to a restaurant and had our share of lunch and decided to march to an ice cream parlour....First we ordered Orange Sprinkler and chocolate sprinkler....It was so yummyyyyy.....our mouth started to drool,so we felt of ordering milk shake....I choose Sprinkler,so i asked meenu to choose milk shake varieties...She ordered Strawberry shake and Black current Shake(The latter was quite new for me) and my genius pal said it should be dry grapes shake...I shook my head to taste the shake and was waiting to taste the new variety.....
Black current shake looked in a different color and i managed to sip only to find it is a replica of the cough syrup Benadryl....lol....I witnessed same reaction in meenu's face,so when i tasted her Strawberry Shake i felt it was a replica of corex syrup..lol....lol.......We saw each other's face and finally managed to gulp it slowly(and god how much we struggled to gulp it :( ....
I was suffering from fever and i had an icecream and a milk shake with icecream embellished on it...I thought i should book a bed in hospital....But what a miracle,my fever was gone...
Meenu called me to confirm whether i am alive or dead...With all glee i attended the call and said my fever was gone..She was flabbergasted...and the final gyan, plz dont experiement black current or white current anytime!!!..phew...

Diwali
Diwali(Festival of lights) is nearing and we always plan for a last minute shopping,i mean we always go for shopping only at the last moment, probably a week before.Last saturday was one such day for our shopping.
I dont like shopping..err i am indeed a gal and i dont have much interest when it comes to shopping..Looks weird isn't it?I always outsource my shopping work to my momma.Even today momma selects dress for me.
Textile showrooms are completely crammed with people. The first challenging task is to enter the shop and the second one is to find a comfortable place atleast for standing.
I entered a textile shop and the crowd helped me to move forward..They pushed me so hard and i automatically started to move..I dont have the patience to spend hours for selecting my dress. It took just 15 minutes to choose mine.Momma, dada and bro also took the same time for their purchase. But entering the shop itself is a great task...A serpentine queue and lotta people...god...
An important lesson never visit a restaurant during festive eves...It is also the second crowded place next to textile shop. And if you are bothering about the hygenic aspects never ever opt for a restaurant during festives.
I was puffing and panting and lost all my energy. That too shopping during the scorching sun is a real herculean task. Finally i am done with my purchase.
yay!!!!
I am already waiting to taste the sumptuous food, the delicious desserts and eager to wear my new dress.Childish habits die hard you see.
Wishing you all a very happy and prosperous diwali in advance.Have a rocking day!!!

Sweet Bro
It was Sai(My bro) to ask me,why i am not writing anything involving me and him.Hey bro here i go with a post about us da.
If Sai says Sachin,i always say ganguly...If he says north i make sure to say south..We fight for anything and everything.Yes for even the most trivial things.Normal fights would be because of TV remote and computer.
There were days(long back not now),we fought like pakisthan and india.Amma acts as the peace maker to resolve our disputes. There were also days when amma prayed to god to give us good mind and pleaded us not to fight with each other.
As days progressed and rolled...Our fightings also stopped..We never found a chance to fight but always i preferred to say north when he said south..Even today we follow that. But now we dont fight a lot,he wholeheartedly offers me the remote or with a sulking face i drop the remote to him.
It was he,who made me a real aficionado(Though this name never suits me today).he is the one who taught me about gully,a maiden wicket,a duck worthlouie,no ball, dot ball, runout, slip anything and everything pertaining to cricket. Not only cricket we killed our time during our vacations by watching tennis,football,F1 Grand prix(Schumi miss u ) and what not...Will we forget the 2003 worldcup or the Trination series...Those nights when we used to get scoldings from appa for the mere sake of cricket and watch a day night match till 4am(we dont even leave presentation section) and hit the sack by 5am.
i fondly call him as jeju ...Dont ask me the meaning, even i dont know...He is a close pal.though he is younger than me by 7 years still he proves matured in many actions. He is a brillaint and cool guy who never bothers for anything..A go lucky person.I always admire his knowledge. He understands the concepts behind every physical law and there were days when i asked him to explain me many of the concepts.
When i hear of maths i run miles aways, here is my bro who calculates anything and everything in mind...has got lotta affinity towards maths...A great person who convinces me whenever i go out of this world and shout at him.He very well know about my strengths and weakness and points me whenever i go wrong.
It is he from whom i learnt a lot and started to mould my muddy brain.Hmm a bro to support me whenever i need his help.He also motivates me a lot and boost me to push myself beyond my limits.
PS:Porumada sai,onnapathi naa yezhuditen...

Me and my pratical classes..
It looks cliche to say those are the golden days till now,but that is a sweet fact.8 hours of classes, those PT periods, the non stop chatting, hard working, records, exams and particulary the practical classes.
Ahh whenever i say practical classes,Something starts to churn out in me.. i am one such proud speciman who had hard time during my practical classes.
Chemistry always fascinates me for the mere reason of colors.Phenolphthalene,Methyl orange,Potassium permanganate always makes me awestruck, even today.I also had tough time with the pipette.I always gobbled the hydrochloric acid and the very next moment my chemistry mam landed to my place to yell at me.Most of the time i got an excuse to gargle my mouth and never turned until my next practical class. The brown ring test, hell it never came whenever i tested nitrate and my pal who stood next to me always got a great name for her practical skills.I always made sure to be at her place than mine to admire the beautiful brown ring and i dont want to disclose the scoldings which i got from my ma'am.
And then comes the physics practical. There were days when i literally wept convulsively on seeing spectrometer.Murphy made sure that i always face hard situations with my practical classes. The pitch scale, the main scale, the screw gauge..hell...I can run miles away from it..The principle of moment experiment god :(.We need to place the center of a wooden scale exactly on the knife edge .On one side a stone is hinged on the other side know weights were added and the scale is made to stand in an horizontal position.Being a slippery gal am,i hit the ground several times a day, there came an experiment which tested my patience.During my public practicals, this moments experiment scared me..Not only me,i made sure people at home prayed for me and for my moments experiment...I was totally flabbergasted to see Ohm's law on my practical exam ..Flabbergasted coz i was very much familiar only with ohm's(The vegetarian is equal to iyer formula) law...
Practical classes continued in college too...Everyone felt i would improve better. But i never seem to improve.I always had an allergy towards practical classes and so my brain....Imagine the pathetic condition of my rusty brain.i can always stay in pitch dark rather to see a pitch scale :)

Rants
1.When all the people are very much happy and on all glee with their longgggggggg weekend...I said to myself "Even i will feel the same elation one day"...Yes you got it right..i was diligently working even on Oct02,and one of my close pal pulled my legs by saying "Neelam gandhi porandha manlaya yiruka"...Yes pal andha mahaan porandha mannula dhaan yiruken,V for velai..ahem...
2.Even at home relatives planned for a trip to our Kuladeivam temple and all people at home did visit the temple...Heard from amma that they had nice dharshan..phew i missed this too......:(..One more get together missed:(
3.My cold never seems to end...I was drinking hot water,i was taking bath on hot water. But still running nose annoys me..Today i could not control my thirst towards cool drinks and gulped a glass of cool pine apple juice..I know the aftermath is going to be real worse :(
4.Some people never seem to change..they tend to bully others, they tend to be autocratic, they tend to be so cunning..they tend to give importance only for money..Why dont they really understand that life is short.....Why dont they treat others as equal like self.??
5. Finally gave broadband connection at home. And the very second day i did crash my system.Being so brainy i failed to note that my antivirus software has got outdated.Virus started to accumulate on my PC and finally it did crash....
6.Oct 2nd holiday for all, even i didnot find hotels near my locality.Had Sandwitch and a juice for lunch..Still my stomach never felt satisfied..I then understood the power of annam(Saadham)..Anna mayam is definitely praana mayam...I cannot live without meals(saadham, kozhambu, and my fav rasaam)..today i missed :(

Sniff sniff
Was affected with flu(not the swine flu version) last week...I didnot drench in rain nor took a bath in ice cold water but was severely affected with headache, cold and dry cough..
Appa took me to our family doctor. My mind always creates a deep impression about something and fails to accept other things..I never dare to consult any other doctors except our family doctor..The thing i hate from my family doctor is he always prefer injection for anything and everything.
Believe me i took 6 injections in 2 days,i am so much scared to see the sharp needle...My appa did hold me and my doctor did his injecting the needle job not so perfectly. The aftermath was worse..Both my hands got swollen.bah....
Amma prepared delicious delicacies like payasam, vadai, kesari on sarawathi poojai and vijayadhasami day...Murphy never allowed me to touch anything ,not even my favourite thayir saadham maa vadhu..All i ate was rasam sadham and ofcourse medicines and cough syrup...I really cont understand y people ask me to refrain eating thayir saadham when i suffer from cold..
occupied a cot in my house and had a deep slumber throughout the day(2 days to be specific).Amma woke me exactly by 11,fetched water for my ablusion, quenched my hunger with rasam saadham and again i did hit the sack.exactly at 3pm amma again woke me with filter coffee.Again i took my slumber then dinner...Two days god amma took a perfect care of my health...
Today i am back to office...Hostel food sucks,i dont dare to eat it..I prepare my own food...It would be nice if i have a cuppa horlicks now..phew amma yinga yilleye...I hafta prepare myself :(

Dussara
Among all the toys i like the dussavathar and Ashtalakshmi collections. There are lot more collections which includes bride and bridge groom, the chettiyar bommai and many more...It is an eyecandy to witness these toy's to glow in radiant sparkling light..
It's been a practice to visit all our neighbour's place and collect delicious sundal from them.People who have good voice showcase their skills(i dont have one,so i never take the risk).Being a foodie i am,i taste the sundal the moment they give it to me...ahhh they are always sumptuous and yummy...
Kiddo's fancy themselves under the disguise of krishna, rama etc.Lovely to see kiddos with all those make ups...I hang all my gold ornaments during festive season and dussara is one such occasion.People chant slogas during the evening...Mellifluous music flows into my ears from all side of my home...
Temple's are crowded with people on all these 9 days.Ofcourse Saraswathi poojai and Vijayadhasami takes the main attraction..On the whole, dussara is one festival which i like the most.many be coz of sundal, may be coz of the cute little kiddos, may be coz of the toys..There are many may be's...hmmmm.....
All said and done..I miss all these eye and ear candies...I am away from my home to witness this lovely festival :(:(:(....

Longing for a slumber
On an average i find 5 hours of time to hit my sack and get back..Working on UK and US shifts made me to forget about my breakfast(Its been 2 months since i had my bfast, dont count weekends,i go home and have a sumptuous bfast)..Coming back to lunch it's really horrible and dinner worse.(Hotel food sucks)..
I was moved for a maintenance project to a testing based project.A great transition it is...All i do is test, test test and find as many bugs as possible and send the application back to the developer. One nice thing i am learning from my work is patience(which i hardly have).
When everyone are busy on friday evening to celebrate their weekend josh,i still wait till saturday morning(yup my weekend starts only then)...And i guess this weekend is going be a long weekend for many(not for me guys, again i am working diligently)..hmmmmmm
....life moves like this....bah....
I am all set and waiting for my weekend to start especially for a good 8 hours sleep...Awww Dassara has started and my home is already decorated with cute toys...I cont wait to taste the delicious Sundal which amma prepares.
oops this post turned out to be a complaining post about my life i guess..bah..have agreat weekend guys...Cya

hard Work and weekend...
Cleaning, cleaning and lotsa cleaning...Every year this month on a particular day we offer tribute to all the people who reached the heavenly abode. The day is called as Thavasam..Last Saturday was one such day..
On one side amma and perimma woke early in the morning, had a nice snanam and started their culinary skills,on the other side appa and perippa started to enchant mantras along with the prohits and pundits..Amma warned to keep my mouth shut atleast that day(being a foodie,i always munch something or the other).
My stomach started to ache. And the moment i saw amma preparing Halwa,Adhrisam my mouth started to water,It is a strict custom that only after serving foods to prohits we are supposed to have the lunch.it was already 1pm and i was longing for my lunch(delicious lunch)...At that moment i realized the value of food, hunger everything...
By 1.30pm amma started to serve us with the luncheon.Wow i loved all the dishes.I am so much in love with Rasam saadam which amma prepares....I equally love thayir saadam too....I ate raasam saadam thrice that day....After that we started to clean our home. From evening till night we were cleaning and washing all the vessels.
At 11.30pm my legs started to ache and eyes started to doze.Automatically i did hit the sack.Sunday again function at relative's place.Again had some work..At 11.30pm monday blues started to bother me...I always mutter "Oh god it is monday"...Not even a single time i felt so happy for monday...I dont think i will change too...Sigh....
So last week made me to sweat or toil hard...I always love weekend and i always expect it....Weekends are bliss despite the toiling work..DOnt they?

Ramblings
2.I cont understand why you call some one who is relatively far from your deeds, who finds thousand faults in you,who cannot understand life is uncertain can be your relative(not all, some people)....any of my relatives reading this(I am dead)..
3.For the past few days i am working in UK timings....I feel really lonely, coz all my frnds work in gendral timings...My biological clock is completely changed...During weekends when rest of the people at home sleep i keep my eyes wide open like an owl and when the clock strikes 3am,i hit my sack and engulf myself into deep slumber...My father worries about my health..dont worry dad i am perfectly alright...the prob is with my bilogical clock you see...
4.Meenuuuuuuu my friend......god she is exactly a livewire...I really wonder how on earth she gets the oodle of energy...She is one such gal who always hold a lovely smile...We sync very well..Yes you got it right....She is one such gal who hears all my crappy talks and longs to hear too(ahem ahem)..yeah she is also a loopy gal like me....Thatz y we gel like something i guess...Jokes apart..meenu you are an angel gal....We are non stop chatter boxes and hope to maintain our title throughout..ofcourse i cont compete with meenu..She always tops the title(Chatter box no1)...I am next to her (chatter box2)...

“Varieties add flavours to our lifeâ€
We feel bored when we try the same menu everyday…We feel disgusted when we do the same monotonous work..But one amazing thing about life is we meet or see people of different kind, qualities every minute or everyday.During the progress or passage of time i have seen different kinds of people and this post is all about it.
All Rounder:
A person who is so down to earth, amiable, affable, amigo, austere etc falls under this category. They are good listeners and good speakers. They hear the opinion of others. They treat everyone in equal position, create opportunities, ready to be transparant. They “Call a spade a spadeâ€.Above all they are good at handling conflicts and glow in the foggy snow. All rounder is synonymous with benevolent leader.
Do what i say:
People of this type have bossy attitude. They are more concerned about their product rather than people. They are good speakers but never lend their ears to listen. They never ask others for opinion and others feel scared to voice their opinion. They tend to me autocratic.
I know everything:
People of this type are bit self-conceited.they hold this attitude “I know everything and whatever i do is correctâ€.They never share knowledge with others fearing others would climb the ladders so fast.On the whole a hard nut to crack.
Money matters:
People of this type are more concerned about wealth rather than wisdom. They mingle with people of the same category. At the end they prove
“Birds of same feather flock togetherâ€.
Mirage:
They are autocratic, they have the capacity to extract work from others.they are good at showcasing themself to higher level and make a niche in whatever work they do.they are mirage and are often appreciated for others work.
I am in-Extrovert:
These people are always enthusiastic and ready to take responsibilities. They grab each and every opportunity.they turn gloomy side of everything to shiny shades. They are good team players and are always amongst people.the way they communicate and express their intelligence makes them uniques.
Wise and Introvert:
These people are wise, smart and intelligent. They tend to be shy and introvert.they never want to come out from their shell. Most of their talents remain un-noticed.But they are perfect when it comes to work.
Concerned about others:
What x thinks if i wear this. What does she think if i do this.people of this category are more concerned about others reaction. They never want to hurt others and are worried about others reaction.
I can write about this topic on and on,but let me stop with this.this is my analysis about people.Do drop your opinion too.Ofcourse being an “Allrounder†would be everyone’s choice.

My ramblings
1.Been to thanjore to see my cousin's new born kid...Journey from trichy to thanjore is always soothing..I always stare at NIT and give a look "i have never seen such institutes before in my life".The lush green serene atmosphere made the trip still more worthy..This time also didnot miss to visit Bhrihadeshvara temple..had nice dharshan...I am simply awestruck by the temple's architecture.I wanted to see the replica Gangai konda chozhapuram..hope will get a chance soon.
2.After 6 months of slogging,i am allocated to a new project.I miss my old team and i guess no one is there to pester them for tea breaks..the only one(its me) who pestered a lot is out from the team.
3.When you do something and if it is not recognized or noticed it really hurts...Been in such situations or faced it a lot...The only hope i say to myself is "Tomorrow dawns with bright rays".
4.I hear kadhri's saxophone umpteen times and not even for a single time felt bored.Been hearing Bhramamokate and yenthano mahanu bhavu numerous times but still i long to hear it again.I guess it is the power of music.
5.I dont feel like reading Jeffrey Archer's book..Not a penny and kane and Abel are resting in my shelf...Started to read "To kill a mocking bird"....Planning to get rohinton mistry's fine balance..Was reading pelican brief, but offered the book to my friend...Lots of books remain untouched.Hope to complete To kill a mocking bird…My friend is a great fan of J.K.Rowling….5 years back I grabbed HP –part 1 from her.Till today it remains untouched.I tried hard and push myself to read it but in vain….
6. My brother seems to be busy with his studies...I really miss him..Miss the silly fights....he hardly speaks with me..Whenever he calls i am entangled with something and i sulk at him...
you got it right he is in his 12th...
7.i wanted to see pursuit of happiness and Angles and demons….Dont know when….My list of books and movies gets increasing …..
8.Sometimes I think of my lost dreams….I become gloomy for not taking the track which I desperately needed……….Again I leave it to time..Hope it heals everything…..
9.During the progress of time I see different kinds of people, people who are really chweet angelic, people who are always bullying….People who wanted to be an introvert..People with extroversion…Huh I can write on and on about people….Let me stop with this…..
I vow to write often henceforth…Signing off….

My close pal........
My close pal,my dearest pal and a person to whom i speak nonchalantly ,to whom i share even the crappiest thing ,infact who hears all my nonsense is none other than my dear amma....
Amma the protector:
Mischievous attitude and naughtiness are quite casual for kiddos ,i am not an exceptional....Whenever i did naughty acts she protected me from others and defended to save me...I understood her love towards me…
Amma the guru:
She is my first and foremost guru...When my school teacher siad "Your child is bit sluggish to learn the lessons",my mother took the herculean task of teaching me...Amma still i ROFTL at one thing, the days you used to weep, when i failed to recognize the difference between many of the tamilzh alphabets....
Amma the commentator:
I bet no one can be so open to me other than my amma....If she finds something good at me,she openly appreciates me...Whenever she finds something is worse from my side, she throws directly at my face....I love the openess which my amma holds
Amma the motivator:
Whenever i feel sick, she use to tell me to get out from the bed and continue my normal activites...Many times i have sulked at my mother for asking me to do my activities when i was ill...But later she taught me that the greatest medicine for illness is get out of it and continue the normal work",,Also i bet no one can compete with her when it comes to affection...She use to call me 100 times and enquire my health whenever i am entangled with illness...amma and appa are the two people to whom i share my happiness and gloomy moments...
Amma the best of everything:
Amma is the best in whatever task she does....She is the best according to me..Be it cuisine, home management or whatever it may be she always stands unique....She is the one who gives me the correct independency level to cherish my dreams...She is the one who believes that i can achieve things even when things are really worse...
Words fail to come when i try to write her qualities, she is the close pal ever in my life to whom i can share everything and anything....

Slumdog Millionaire-My review

A film that bagged 4 awards.A hollywood film totally based out of india especially mumbai. All the cast who acted are Indians.A film not only made an indian to win the scholarly GOLDENGLOBE award but also made the entire nation proud...Should i have to give any other clues about this film....I am talking about the film "Slumdog Millionaire" which is based out of the book "Q and A" by Vikas Swaroop...
This film directed by Danny Boyle and co-directed by Loveleen Tandon is one of the film which we hear/read in the form of reviews in newspapers, magazines etc....To add one more feather to its beauty our own prodigy ARR is the music director, who bagged the Golden globe award for his fantabulous music.
The main leads of this movie are Jamal(Dev patel),Saleem(Mathur Mittal) and Lathika(Freida Pinto)...Jamal participates in the show"Who wants to be a millionaire"Jamal a slumdog who answers all the questions and reaches the last question to bag 20 million rupees..Anil kapoor is the host and he is completely astonished to see a slumdog answering the questions...
Jamal is arrested by the police Irfan Khan fearing that he had cheated to win the contest...The flashback starts from here..Jamal explains how each question have relevance with his life..Also he misses his brother Saleem and his lovely sweetheart Lathika..Did he meet his brother and Lathika.Did he win the contest,to find the answers for all these questions you have to watch the movie....
The communal attack, the life of people @slums are beautifully protrayed in the movie And finally the song "JAI HO" is a fantastic number i would say..I hear this song umpteen times but never feel bored ,I guess that is the magic of ARR.
I saw this movie and i liked it..I have seen these kind of movies,i mean about INDIA and about its people in many movies but this movie has its own unique feature..I will not say this is the best movie of ARR because i think some of his other movies attracted me a lot,but definitely a good movie to watch..Lets hope Rahman will bag the prestigious Oscar for his masterpiece .On the whole a nice watch...Give a try and watch the movie...
I am an exclusion
Appa gets up by 4am accompany’s amma to river also visits temple….I have never seen my appa with bare forehead I mean at all the times he applies the sacred VIBHUTHI on this forehead….My appa loves gardening and next to me and my brother he grows the plant like his son/daughter…The smile which my appa pose when he see a sprout from the plant is no par to anything else in this world….He waters the plant daily…If any of you need to know about the tips pertaining to gardening, you can approach my father….He is a person with oodle of positive attitude…I have never seen my father uttering a single negative word…….He always keeps himself busy with his work….He helps the neighbours and a very good friend of mine…..I roam with my dad starting from markets to temples,I speak to him all the crappy things to the politics…..He is a person whom I respect a lot,,,,
My granny even at the age 80 never misses her sloga class daily…She not only attends it but practices the slogas regularly….She and my amma together chant slogas for hours….My granny also collects the slogas from different sources and maintains a separate notebook……
But me…I am exclusion….I am not a perfectionist like my amma,I never keep my place tidy, when I recite sloga I yarn, laziness is my friend…..I never read newspapers…sigh!!!!
I am not a optimist like my appa,I mutter negative words,I never water my plants but eat the veggies…..I never keep my Bindhi and after several request from appa I keep the bindhi….But I roam with my appa,I figth with him,I pester him to get me books,Appa don’t forget about the Q and A,which you have promised to get me….My granny learns hard but I relinquish learning,I never collect anything pertaining to studies…..I am the most sluggish creature on earth……Sigh!!!!But my parents never scold me instead they teach me to impart those lovely qualities,But god alone knows when I am going to be a so called good gal….
PS:I glad ,I really glad, after a very long time I did watch the India, srilanka series and what a match in the history of cricketing, simply awesome…
Yet another medal from Australian open……Hmm I am a sports freak……
Thatz it from my garrulous mouth…stay tuned to hear more…..

Mission Cleaning--Part1
I guess I can stop my overacting,I am definitely not a workaholic or a techie but my roomy is definitely a workaholic and one very important thing about her(ofcourse good thing only, She never dumps anything in our room…she always keeps her shelf neat…..
Ummmm when you have a roomy who always have the habit of keeping her shelf tidy, with no other go I am forced be like that(I mean to keep everything clean)…..But naah I don’t follow that I dump everything on my shelf(Now now my amma is not here to bellow and appa is no here to keep my things back in place( miss u too) or I don’t have my brother here to whom I shout at when I misplace something)…
So now you should have understood how clean I keep my shelf….
Today I felt of cleaning my shelf just because my conscience was pricking….Obeyed my mind and opened my shelf….I have heard about amudhasurabhi but for the first time I witnessed in my shelf….Things started to come out one by one endlessly….I was puffed and panted and was gasping for breath(because of the dust, once in a blue moon I clean you see, so yidellam sahajam dhane)…..
First I found umpteen hair clips(I have the habit of collecting good poems, nice articles, the crossword puzzles of hindu and million other things,I was astonished, did I have the habit of collecting hair clips????naah) then came the next section handbag…..whoaaaa my cousin came from Bombay and she bought me a handbag,I said ahaaaaaaa,My aunt came from US and bought me a handbag,I said uoooooooooo, my mother went to purchase and she got me a handbag now my reaction is ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh………………I have nearly ummm 10 bags ,I use only one (I have the habit of using only one thing which I like, rest I ignore)…Now all the other 9 rest on my shelf….I openly declare plz my lovely relatives if u want to get something for me plz don’t get hand bags, instead get me a platinum chain ummm if it is not possible get a diamond ring arrey if that is also not possible get me a gold biscuit yar…(Now I know you are appreciating me for a humble and a very normal gift)….
I almost lost my strength, stamina or whatever….Then came the book section novels(I will never ever throw and curse those lovely books, then quantitative aptitude by agarwal again quantitative aptitude this time with different author….Oracle,Java and cobol book…Why on earth I have all those books that are not relevant /no way being used my me……
I am gonna give all those collections(ya techie books to my friends)
I was almost tired so I decide to continue my Mission cleaning part 2 sometimes next week…
Moral:
1.Please don’t dump anything on the shelf..
2.This is applicable only for me(Don’t study, don’t take printouts, don’t have techie books(Gowri(my another name) is the most suitable person to follow the moral)….
long hair
But being a gal fortunately/unfortunately having a long hair is/was the most deserving quality(Is it??!!!)…..
Me and long hair never coincide with each other….
Long long ago I had a lengthy hair(courtesy:My amma told me umpteen times)…..When I came to my 10th std I did cut 3/4 th of my hair and
I had a reasonable length of hair…..(Now you have to imagine how hard I studied for 10th)….
From there till now it didn’t stop , I mean whoever has to try a new hair style or whoever has to practice their trimming (hair trimming) skills
They just call Gowri and I rush to their spot….Being so chweet(why doubt, itz me)…I offer my hair to them..Amma,cousins,aunty,Pakathuvu vitu aunty, yedutha vitu aunty everyone tried their hand…
At this time you have to appreciate my patience…After so many trimming incidents I felt itz always better to have a hair that falls exactly on my shoulders,so that I can always reach the office exactly on time(we are workaholic u know??!!!).If u have along hair, you have to comb(cha what a brain I have) it,clear the entangled hair, apply oil, wash thrice or four times a week…lotta works and me being extremely lazy (the most sluggish creature and procrastination is my friend)felt a short hair will suffice my need….
Till recently I had a good length of hair….I always stare at gals who have long hairs,i am really astonished by the way they take care to maintain their hair…For quite somedays I was
Staring at a gal and to reciprocate it she stared at me…Fortunately she became my friend because of all the staring concepts….She told itz really hard to maintain such a lengthy hair…I felt so delighted and felt like jumping from my seat ,flying in the air to have a cute(really???!!) and shorty hair….(ahem ahem)
Last week I asked my amma to trim my hair….My amma practices all the varieties I mean the hairdo with my hair…She said that side was not even cut and this side was not even cut…
Finally now I am with a very very short hair, should I call it as a Pony tail???Horse pony will kill me…Now my hair is very much above my shoulders….It takes jus 2 minus naah a minute to comb my hair…But my father bellowed at me “Kalyanam ara ponnu yipdi pannalama” as if I committed a murder…..whatz wrong in having a short hair…It was hard for me to console my appa….
May be after somedays my so called relatives may try some new styles and may be I will get a Tom boyish hair style who knows…
No no no now I am not ready to offer my head…My appa will kill me…I have a little pony and atleast I have to protect it…Sigh!!!!
I guess I can have a lengthy hair only on my dream……But being a lazy, sluggish sloathe I feel this short hair will be the best for me(Yidi sollidan manasa thethikanum)…….

My weird habits
that portrays me as a complete insane person..Phew...Below are some of my weird habits that make others to laught at me...
1.It happens most of the time.I put my mobile on charge...After sometime i forget about my mobile and find it is missing....Then i shout at my brother to help me in searching my mobile...Will make my house topsy turvy....Then my mother comes to the rescue operation and points the mobile....My mother very well know that i always place the mobile on charge and she correctly spots it...My brother always give me a look meaning "You insane dumbo creature ,you are not able to remember the place where you kept the mobile, how come you are handling your work"....Damages are common na chalo....
2.If i carry multiple things in my hand i am sure i would definitely miss something...Mostly i carry my handbag, hand kerchief and some rupees to get something...Most of the time i miss my kerchief poor me,I have missed a zillion…..sometimes i miss my money too and if kind hearted people see this they call me and give it else i loose it sheesh....How absent minded i am...
3.I hate boring and lengthy lectures i always prefer a crispy one...But i am damn good at giving a gesture that means "I am a good listener" and i also have this weird habit of shaking my heads to mean i got your point boss...Sometimes back me and my friend attened a lecture...Suddently i turned towards my friend to see her dozed eyes, immediately i pinched her slightly..(yeah yeah fearing that she may bellow if I pinch heavily and we would have become the centre of attraction and thinking about the aftermath ,i did pinch her slightly)..After that she pretended to listen...I as usual started to shake my head, actually i started to dream...Yeah i have this weird habit of entering into dream when someone gives lectures..After the session my friend asked me to explain the crunch of it..I said i was on dream and i didnt listen...She said you seemed to be attentive by shaking your heads....I burst into laughing....People beware next time if u see someone Who shake their head, dont feel they may be a good listener...Some may fall under my category too
I dont know how i will come out from my weird habits....
A comparative analysis
captivated us "The pursuit of happiness" or "Last lecture".I dont have the hi-fi brain to analyze and submit a report on the above topics, but if you ask me
to compare hostel and home i can do it very well...
I had never been in hostel till my college...After joining into work with no other option i opted to stay in hostel...I always make a
comparative analysis between my home and hostel...So Here i would like to exclusively present my so called analysis report...
A typical day at home always begins with devotional songs...Thanks to Patti, appa and amma who not only indulge themselves with the spirituality
but also make others to get out of their bed, yeah how can you sleep when the volume of the TV dominates the entire house, but it never bothers my sleep, its a
lullaby...A voice from somewhere "Hey getup, itz 6.30am"...6.30AM???!!!!!my god it's actually very early to get up na ...After lotta arguments with my
dad(that someone's voice was my dad's) i will get additional 5 minutes(Yeah precious 5 minutes)...Oops with no other option i will get out from my bed...If you ask me "what accordng to you is bliss or solace" definitely i would say my mother's filter coffee, chance se yilla...Filter coffee and Hindu paper is no par to anything in this world, and i definitely enjoy this...While at home i never miss anything
tiffin,brunch,lunch,dinner,snack...The only thing which i do perfectly is i keep on munch something...Hot and spicy Idli, sambar my god i am drooling over it
would be served,on the other hand in hostel after zillion times of pressing the snooze button without any other option i get out from my bed and the first
thing that splashes my mind when i get out is "Run and rush, see whether the bathroom is free to take a bath".....Coffee actually its not coffee it is mixture
of 80% water,10%milk and 10% decoction,i never dare to drink it...I skip my breakfast because i dont have the guts to eat the elastic, stone like hardened
idli....When at home if i skip the breakfast my mother will plead me to eat ..phew i miss it.
I really miss my home,my parents my house,my naughty things,on the other hand hostel has taught me a lot.It taught me how to adjust
with others...Those gala hours with friends always stay green in my mind...Finally Hostel life brings some sort of pleasure and home bring another sort of
pleasure...

Height of mis-communication
Fine....Recently i had this phone conversation which clearly portrays the height of miscommunication...This happened some few days back
I was busy with my work(Believe me yar)...
Phone rang i didnt hear it,come on yar i was busy with my work na(ahem ahem)...my friend who sat near me took the phone...Let me name this friend as X.Some Y called and enquired about me.This x friend transfered the call to me.This call was from my another friend Y.
Me:Hi------
Y:Hi Poorani...How are you doing???
Me:Great...
Y:Who took the phone yar?
Me:Its X my friend..I was bit busy with my work you know
Y:You dumbo...you busy a???!!!(laughs like a hyena,why people dont believe when i say them i am busy?????!!!)
Me:Fine...what is the matter
Y:I need all our friends address, can you please send it to me.
Me:Sure thing,will do it...
Y:cool.
Me:Shall i give to X(See i have this weird habit of passing the phone to the people who initially took the phone,i try to change this attitude, but could nt)
Y:I asked you to send it to me and not X
Me:No probs,will do..Shall i give it to X
Y:I asked you to send the details to me and not to X...Infact i dont know anything about X....you duffer
Me:Oh it is the height of miscommunication-I should have said"Shall i give the receiver to X",instead i said "Shall i give to X"?(Thinking)...
Y:Are u on line
Me:Hey sorry was engaged with work that's why...Will send u.
Y:Hangs the open..tok(harsh count)
Lesson Learnt:
1.Dont pass on the phone to someone who took the phone
2.Should be clear with my communication i mean next time onwards i will say "Shall i pass on the receiver to blah blah blah.....
Sudithanda Sudarkodi
its margazhi...
My father offers pooja exactly at 4am in the morning(Morning????!!!!Naah its actaully night in my dictionary) to the siva lingam...Rudram(Sloga)
from one side and Kacheri from other side always hit my ears, but who cares,i am always at the peak of my sleep..It is actually a lullaby for me...And the
delicious Pongal, which my mother prepares everday as prasadam after offering it to god is simply sumptuous...
Let me not deviate from my topic...I am gonna write about Sudithanda Sudarkodi, she prayed to god to be her husband...Yeah you got my point the
personality is Kodai(Godai-Go-earth,dai-given by) or andal(one who attracts)....
I dont remember the name of the king(blame my memory) who ruled Pandia kingdom...he was very much concerned about the betterment of his
people...He was searching for some nice erudite person,to whom he can hear wise sayings and offer him some rewards...He came to know about Vishnuchitta, who
stayed in Srivalliputhur...Immediately he sent a person to bring vishnuchitta...
vishnuchitta was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu...Lord Vishnu spoke to Vishnuchitta during his prayers and asked him to pay a visit to
pandian kingdom...Vishnuchitta did pay a visit and The king was happy and offered rewards....
One fine morning Vishnuchitta was busy in collecting the thulasi leaves, immediately he found a gal baby lying under the tree...He took the
child...He was astonished....Vishnuchitta never worried about anything, his only attitude was to worship Lord Vishnu,he never desired about anything...He was
worried about the child, but decided to take care of the child...
The child grew into a lovely gal and he named her as Kodai...Kodai was equally spiritual as Vishnuchitta...She always prayed Vishnu...She
prepared the tulasi garland everyday which Vishnuchitta offered it to god...One day she wore the garland and removed it and kept in the basket,Vishnuchitta
offered it to god...daily she continued the routine of wearing the garland, one fine day Vishnuchitta noticed it and felt very sad..he pointed kodai not to do
it anymore..That day he went to vishnu temple and offered the prayers without the garland...Lord vishnu spoke to Vishnuchitta to offer the garland made by
kodai, infact god prefered to wear Kodais's garland daily ..vishnuchitta did offer the same garland...Obviously she was named as Sudithanda sudarkodi....
Kodai attained the age of a beautiful gal..vishnuchitta was worried about her marraige...Kodai told vishnuchitta that she will marry only lord
Vishnu...Also lord Vishnu came in Vishnuchitta's dream and the spoke the same words as kodai....
The marraige between between Kodai and Vishnu took place in Srirangam and the Janavasam from Srivelliputtur to Srirangam...
Srivelliputur is famous or Andal Utsavam...
If i didnt speak about marghazi and Andal there is no use in writing a post..Andal offered Thirupavai slogas to lord vishnu...
It is believed today that during marghazi month gals who are not married if recite thirupavai and offer prayers to god will definitely get
a nice life and husband....So gals why are you waiting???Get up early, pay a visit to temples and ofcourse do recite Thirupavai...
PS:Andal is the only lady from Alwar family
PSS:Vishnuchitta is also known as periyalwar..
Virtual tour to Arupadaividu
1.Pazhani
2.Thiruthani
3.Thiruparamkundram
4.Pazhamudirsolai
5.Swami malai
6.Thiruchendur
1.Pazhani:
We very well know about the mango fruit and the competition bt Muruga and Vinayaka…After loosing the competition Muruga went to pazhani malai…The rupa in this temple is “Andi kolam”….Pazhani Thangaratham is famous..Adi krithikai,Surasamharam etc are very well celebrated here…Beware the temple is crowded on these D days…Pazhani is a 3 hrs journey from Karur…a must visit Arupadaividu
2.Thiruthani:
If u r travelling to Thirupathi plz do pay a visit to Thiruthani ,itz actually an en route to Thirupathi..Whatz special about this temple…
The rupa here is “Kalyana kolam” with Deivayanai(The daughter of Indra, actually Deivayanai was the daughter of Vishnu, but due to the desire of Deivayanai to marry lord Muruga she was adopted by Indra)…Indra offered Airavadam(The giant and the wealthy elephant) to Muruga as Dowry…Subsequently Indra lost most of his wealth..When Muruga decided to give back the elephant,Indra rejected and asked Muruga to make the elephant point towards east…So if u visit this temple note the direction of The elephant it would be east…East is considered to be a good direction in hindu myth..Also the chest of Lord muruga is hallow and people say Asur Tharakasuran throwed a sulam and muruga with his power broke it and offered the sulam(not sure) to Vishnu.Surasamharam festival is not celebrated here.
3.Thiruparamkundram:
Again Kalyana kolam here but with Valli….Guys and gals if u are in the verge of getting married do visit the temple and lord Muruga will shower you with good life..Actually Muruga came to this place after killing the Asur SURAPADMAN….Itz very near to Madurai…
4.Pazhamudirsolai:
Itz again very near to Madurai..So apart from visiting Meenakshi temple do visit pazhamudirsolai and thiruparamkundram…
What special about this temple????Undoubtedly only one thing should flash your mind..Itz Avvayar…Suttapazham,Sudadha pazham incident took place here and yeah the Jambu tree is still there….I guess you should be familiar with Muruga’s question to Avvayar about 1.What is hard2.What is big 3.What is sweet and 4.What is rare and the answers by Avvvayar….This incident actually happened here…
5.Swami malai:
Very near to kumbakoman….”Appanuku upadesam senja Yidam-Swami malai”…Muruga disclosed the meaning of Om karam here
1.Brahma on his visit to kailasam forgot to pray muruga,Muruga posed a simple ques to brahma “tell me the meaning of OM”,brahma failed to answer..
Lord siva came to rescue Brahma…Even shiva was not aware of the meaning,so muruga asked Siva to be disciple and agreed to reveal the meaning…So Lord Muruga is the guru to Siva in this temple…
6.Thiruchendur:
Itz near Kanyakumari……The real vadam(killing ) of Surapadman took place here….This temple is very near to Sea shore…a lovely place..a soothing temple….
Important Festivals related to Murugan:
Kanda sashti,Adi krithikaim, surasamharam are some common festivals where all the Arupadaividu’s are crowded
